What are the job responsibilities of a Front Desk Receptionist?

A front office department is a "nerve centre" for every department. This specific department will actually communicate with the other departments in case of any emergency that has happen. For example is the cancellation of the guest registration for room booking. Therefore the Front Desk Receptionist needs to inform the housekeeping department that it is not necessary to clean the specific room stated. Their job responsibilities are just handling guest registration for the room booking that has been reserve by the reservation department earlier. The Front Desk Receptionist will then greet the following guest with a kind smile. Next, to follow up the registration card, handling the deposit payment, and dispensing the room keys to the respected guest. Finally, inform the bell captain that this following guest needs the luggage to be send to the room. The next job responsibility is handling guest checking out procedure. First of all just to make sure the following guest hands out a room key to the Front Office Receptionist for the knowledge of the room number that the guest is staying in. Next, handling the certain amount of money that is stated in the computer. Then, print the following receipt for the guest information and keeping another piece for statement. Finally, inform the bell captain to send the guest luggage to the desired car. A Front Desk Receptionist does carry out a very heavy responsibility because whenever the office clerk serve or even greet a certain guest, the leaving guest will then retain the good impression of the hotel.
